Teaching is how we change the world. Teaching educates the masses and inspires individuals. It builds the whole, while giving those that seek to be and do more the opportunity to try and those who don't a solid foundation to feel comfortable on. Good teaching done be good teachers, encourages creativity and ingenuity while supporting structure with tried and true methods. It aims high, while supporting below. This is what I want to be, this is what I currently believe is my pre-dominate place in my world today.
I want to see the world and I want to be a part of it. I want to teach people who want to learn, and I want to be thought by those who want to teach. I don’t just want to see everything, but rather experience everything. Currently, that is through teaching.
ESL education has been life changing for me and I love doing this job. My students are incredible and the people I have met through this life are astounding. I have gained a new understanding for people and their lives and cultures, through their eyes and words. I am a 100% blessed to be doing this job, and would like to continue doing it for the foreseeable future, God willing. I don’t stop with the school bell or at the end of an hour. My students see me on the street, in the halls, at the supermarket, and lots of other places around the city. Teaching is ongoing and continuous. I never stop being a teacher, because someone is always watching and examining the way I work and move.
