Professional Experience:

I have been teaching English language and Literature (Edexcel & Cambridge) in an International School of Muscat - Oman for 2 year and 5 months. (www.slsm.edu.om)

I was teaching English language and Literature (Edexcel)at the American International school Dehiwala. Was the Head of the English Department. (www.americancollege.lk)

I was teaching Business English for AAT and Chartered students at a Tiary school called the Minca Business School Nugegoda. as a part time lecturer.

I was teaching General English, O/L and A/L English and O/L and A/L Literature at St Sebastian’s College Moratuwa. for 12 years before I left for Europe in February 2006.

I was teaching English Language and Literature (Cambridge syllabus) at Lyceum International School Panadura

I was also teaching English Language and Literature (Edexcel) at Leeds International school Panadura

Seminars and Workshops:

I have participated in the recently concluded SLELTA Sri Lanka English Teachers’ Association held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education at NIE and I was able to cover many themes as mentioned in the certificate.

I have also participated in many workshops conducted by the British Council Colombo.

I have also attended a Workshop on Professional Development of English Language Teachers organized by the Cambridge University Press.

I have participated in all the English Language and Literature seminars conducted in Colombo,Sri Lanka by Edxcel and Cambridge University Press .

I have also have participated in the seminar on teaching Advanced Level English Literature conducted by Sri Lanka Federation of University Women.

I have attended a three day seminar on Edexcel English Specification A and B conducted by Pearson company.
