Through my years in linguistics I learned about the universality and structure of languages through phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. Additionally I specialized in the TESOL branch of the program and studied child language acquisition, material and curriculum design, subsequent language acquisition and learning, the psychology of language, and bilingualism. I continue to use these tools to better myself as a teacher.

Through my time spent in my TESOL program I learned about effective ways to teach English to a variety of ages as well as successful classroom management and teaching techniques.
