Speaking of me, I worked a lot with foreigners, as you can see in my CV. In the USA I practiced my English a lot, working there and talking to different kinds of people of all ages. I had been in Russia for two years before the first time I came to China. That was last year and my purpose has always been to continue my professional career as an ESL teacher doing helpful job and also improve my skills. The most important thing I've realised during my professional career is that I'm not the only teacher in a classroom, because I can really learn a lot from my students too.

As far as teaching job is concerned, I consider my non-nativeness as an advantage because we all speak our native language by the light of nature. And, of course, we basically do not really think about complicated speech constructions and the way we built phrases while talking to each other. This is an obvious thing. And talking to a foreigner is an absolutely different thing, especially if you are trying to teach the foreigner how to speak your language. Due to this, native speakers often do not completely realise the difficulties a student usually can face and how to deal with them. For non-native English speakers like me the process of learning is clear since I have already passed a big part of this road.
