As a Drama Teacher I use creative, interactive and engaging teaching methods, such as games, role-play, storytelling, hot seating and tableaux. I prefer that courses do also involve written work from time to time, always marking students’ work and providing them with the necessary feedback, criticism, encouragement and support. Helping students prepare for crucial examinations and directing final performances is essential as well as attending meetings with other teaching staff, undertaking in-service training and meeting with pupils’ parents to discuss their progress at parents’ evenings.
I always keep up-to-date on new teaching methods and looking for possible developments in the curriculum.
