Jeju Interpretation & Language Institute, Jeju, Republic of Korea, September 2011 – August 2015 Head foreign teacher. Teaching multi-level conversational English to adults. Also taught special government-sponsored classes for volunteer translators, citizens retraining for new employment and tourism students. Substitute teacher for elementary-school level students at affiliated hakwon. Minimum thirty teaching hours per week.
Grace International Academy, Gangnam, Republic of Korea, November 2010 – August 2011
Head foreign English teacher. Designed English core curriculum and selected books for the academic year. Instituted level testing and assessment. Spoke to all parents about curriculum changes at a series of open houses. Proposed an honors course for students performing substantially above the curriculum for their level. Created Power Point presentations, bus signage and brochures for use in marketing. In addition to teaching English to the youngest students at this kindergarten, also organized and emceed the school’s first graduation ceremonies.
