Personal Statement
I am an experienced American teacher who has been teaching throughout high school and for one year in China. I am very passionate about education and inciting curiosity in my students.

• Over 5 years of experience teaching English to students of different cultures, including teaching non-native English speakers in China and America
•Extensive knowledge of English Language and Literature
• In depth knowledge of teaching reading and writing courses
• Hands on experience in creating lesson plans and curriculum development
WORK EXPERIENCE

Volunteer Tutoring Program for future teachers (2010-2015)
After school tutor for children 10-14
• Plan lesson based on subjects in school
• Assist in school assigned homework
• Create quick 15 minute classwork for student to practice

Kid Castle (Jasper Education) (July 2015- March 2016)
• Teaching English language and literature by employing interactive study methods with students aged 3-14, with class sizes ranging from 6-18
