I believe as a Teacher, besides paper qualification, there are some qualities you need to carry out the role; the ability to do the job, the vision to know what job to do and the credibility to persuade others that you have the vision and ability to do the job. My 5 years’ experience of teaching in, or leading KS1and KS2 as well as experience in several more schools has given me the confidence in taking up this role.
My ability to inspire and lead, IT, planning and organisational skills, management and finance skills and the ability to improve performance has boost my urge to take the challenge.
Organising School International Day, Festival of Lights Charity Show, Korean Internship, Cambridge Checkpoint Examination, Science Fair and many more has given me the wide knowledge and world wide experience!
In these 5 years of teaching experience, I was expose to;
• setting the school’s values and communicating them to pupils, staff, parents and the community
• creating and maintaining a healthy and safe space for learning
• deciding staff priorities and delegating tasks
• setting high expectations of achievement for staff and pupils
• keeping to rules on equal opportunities
• using data to track performance and produce reports
• informing parents and pupils about progress
• selecting, supporting, assessing and developing staff
• leading and attending meetings
• controlling school finances
• working with external advisers and school governors
