Employment
[1981-1985 Merchant Navy. Bibby Line Shipping Company. Started as Deck boy and with sea time and qualification gained, worked up to Able Bodied Seaman. Duties included watchkeeping, Deck Work and engine room duties.
1985-1987 Global Marine Drilling Company. My position was that of AB. Duties included housekeeping, general maintenance, rope and wire splicing.
1987-1989 Family run business in Spain. Position was that of bar manager, day to day affairs of the bar, serving customers, managing staff members.
1989-1997 London Luton Airport Baggage Handler, Loading and off-loading of passenger and freight aircraft, using various mechanical equipment.
1997-1999 Kodak. Machine operator slitting photographic paper, packaging and shipping of the product.
2001 – 2010 - Worldevents ( UK, Events Agency)
Various projects worked including corporate events in the UK and Europe. Gala dinners and social events for up to 2000 people. Working on setting up of temporary structures and tents, table decoration and service, bar service, menu preparation and menu service. Management of temporary staff and de-rig of the event.
2007-2011 Boarding Kennels.
Ownership of boarding kennels in Bulgaria. Looking after dogs and cats when their owners have to travel and cannot take their pets. Duties include; feeding, exercising and monitoring of the animals in my care.
2011 Feb- 2012 Jan English Teacher.
Teaching oral English at the Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages. Following the syllabus as given by the university but also lesson plans being prepared and used in classes. Additional hours coaching students one to one for competitions.
