Position: Foreign Language (English) teacher
Activity: The education of Chinese students in spoken English on a wide range of topics from daily life, current events and natural disasters which are amongst a number of study areas set out by their curriculum.
My responsibilities included the research, creation and teaching of the material for the students, with delivery to classes numbering between 50 to 55 students. I am responsible for teaching 1200 students across Grade 2. 22 Lesson periods per week, 5 days a week.

Private Tutoring of Students between the ages of 5 to 16, in English Language.
Summer 2009, Summer 2010 Camp Scatico, Elizaville, New York, USA
Position: Outdoor Adventure Councillor, Climbing Instructor, General Councillor, Life Guard & First Aid Responder.
Activity: Working with young people in the United States, between the ages of 7 and 16. My duties included the organisation and running of camp activities. This used my skills in time management, communication and teaching, motivation skills, effective and constructive criticism, emotional support, understanding, patience and vigilance for the safety of the campers.
2007-2008 Petrofac Training
Position: Technical Assistant & Placement Intern
Activity: Major Emergency Exercise development, deployment and training for the Oil & Gas Industry, National Oil & Gas Exercise assisted in devising and facilitation also performing as a member of the exercise directing staff, presentation delivery, Offshore Fire Fighter training, Incident Emergency Management Training, competency training development, Reception Centre and Family Reconciliation & Liaison team member.

Position 1: Tanker Assistant. (November to March)
Involved the collection, transportation and depositing of hazardous waste for processing and storage.
Position 2: Onsite Asbestos inspector & Construction waste receivables site officer. (April to May)
Activity: Assessing waste loads of construction material and inspecting them for asbestos or asbestos contamination. Other duties included preparation of asbestos samples for safe disposal trials. Asbestos training in awareness and effective handling and personal protection was received.
2005 – 2007 University of Birmingham Air Squadron
Position: Officer Cadet
Activities: Flying, Outdoor adventure activities, including expeditions, ski-ing and rock climbing, military education, work placements and voluntary work.
Skills Acquired: Confidence, outdoor expedition skills in organisation, motivation, physical fitness, understanding of the military setting, presentation delivery, basic flying skills, field operations experience and self discipline.
2011 – Cangnan Middle School, Zhejiang Province, China
Guest Speaker at Model United Nations: This was at the time of some very interesting discussions with regards the NATO & foreign involvement in Libya and also the Disaster Response to the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant incident caused by the Tsunami in July of that year.
July 2006 RAF Aux. Placement Scheme
Position: Cadet Officer
Activity: RAF Role Placement, shadowing the RAF Search and Rescue Squadron, formerly based at RAF St. Mawgan.
Skills Acquired: Operational understanding of deployment, search and rescue methods, vessel and air search co-ordination, life-raft operation and deployment, helicopter passenger safety & rope systems & techniques.
