Trained early on regional and community newspapers in Australia , I have had a hugely varied career as a writer and journalist at many levels, which has been extended into creative writing and performing. For the past 20 years I have also worked widely as a teacher/lecturer at many institutions teaching a variety of courses from basic writing/language skills?and literature courses, to mind/body medicine and philosophy. I have used my background in journalism/teaching as a base for my other pursuits in music and creative writing. Having worked widely in China , it must be stressed here that an English Department in a Chinese university is very much a super department not only concentrating on literature but other important areas such as science English, English culture to many other areas.
