您好,我是Beth。我会说有一点点中文,但我还在学。现在我是一个英语老师在虎门广东。九月我想搬到上海去。
29 year old British graduate with 2 years experience teaching in China. I have worked in two different schools and taught students of all ages from kindergarten up to high school and even adults. Have a degree in Film and Media and 150 hour TEFL certificate. Whilst in China I have been studying Mandarin and aim to take my HSK 5 next year.
In my current position I teach Grade 2 – 4 at primary level. In my previous teaching position I taught all ages. I teach English and drama covering 21 periods per week. I’ve always been involved in some area of teaching throughout my education and career. I started teaching young children to play the piano when I was fifteen until I left for University and I taught young teenagers theatre arts whilst I completed my A Levels at school. In my second and third year I led groups at University to help first years understand principles of Media studies and analysis of film.
I have experience in so many different fields of work that I feel I have many excellent skills that make me a great teacher. I have excellent skills in IT, communication,
delivering training, collaborating and sharing, organisation, photography, team work, creativity and determination. Whether it is creating interesting PPTs to make grammar more accessible, editing photos to create a story
using vocabulary/ language the students are learning. Creating a schedule for myself so I have the time to teach extra lessons for students who want to study advanced English.
I am currently seeking a position in Shanghai to teach English as a foreign language. My ambition is to develop a teaching career in China and become fluent in Chinese. My approach to teaching is to use a variety of techniques to suit different leaning styles including immersion. I use my passion for my language and my enthusiasm for learning to build strong relationships with my students. I positively encourage them each week so they can grow confident not only in English but in all areas of their studies.
