My name is Bridgit, and I am a native English speaker from the US. I also speak French and Spanish! I graduated from McGIll University in Canada where I studied English, Anthropology, and Sociology, and now live near Auckland in New Zealand.

From my years learning languages, travelling, and tutoring, I know what it takes to really learn a language – and how to have fun doing it!

I will create fun lessons customized to your interests, needs, and goals, relevant vocabulary for practical, everyday and business situations, grammar and function instruction, and tips on how to sound more like a native speaker. I teach intermediate to advanced levels in General English, Academic English, and Business English, in a relaxed, stress-free environment to really perfect your English skills.

The lessons use a variety of materials, including songs, stories, news articles, and videos.

IELTS / TOEIC / TOEFL TUTORING
Standardized testing does not have to be so overwhelming! I guide students through speaking and writing so they have the confidence they need to succeed. I have wide experience of preparing candidates for many exams including the IELTS, SAT, ACT, TOEIC, and TOEFL. Each session is completely customized to meet the needs of the student, and a typical tutoring session might would include an overview of test sections, working through unfamiliar concepts, doing practice problems, and reinforcing tips and strategies.

From crafting the perfect admissions essay to filling out applications, applying to Universities and Colleges overseas can seem daunting!
