VIP can seeI have known in my heart since I was a little boy what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was not a stereotypical child’s dream such as a doctor or an astronaut; my vision was instead something that has shaped my actions and decisions throughout my life. In the last few years I have realized that my passion for helping people in need and teaching them to be better than they were before is a natural calling that I am destined to follow. This intuitive notion solidified while on my very first peri urban trip on my job as an intern at a nonprofit Organization. I noticed the poverty that the people in this area where habituated in. Then as I continued work later on within the program, introducing income generating projects like detergent and drink making techniques among others with these people, with time I started to see the difference in how these people’s lives improved. This to me was a success as the people we mainly worked with were people infected and affected by HIV and Aids, hence plunging them into more poverty because of the stigma related to the virus and the possible health limitations also associated with the virus.
Therefore attaining a job with your organisation will allow me to reach my goal of being able toassist people of different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. It is my wish to regionalize and also work internationally with any international organization that can assist me to attain this goal of assisting people to better their lives economically and socially. Currently I am a volunteer at Christian Aids Taskforce which is the nonprofit organization I have been working for since 2015. Due to lack of funding I the last calendar year, the organization had to carry out a few educational workshops on Detergent making so as to continually support its former target group and continue empowering them to better economic and social freedom. Currently I am still with the Organization as a Volunteer Programs Officer running with a program called Asikhulume Lets Talk which capacitates youth with advocacy skills in relation to their rights, in particular, focusing on the right to health, education and social welfare. I thank you for your consideration
