About Ratna

Since 1991 Ratna has worked in a variety of universities/colleges/schools in varying capacities and also familiar with boarding school life.

Accredited advisor/counselor. Deeply involved in university/college counseling has also been a long-standing member.

Ratna has lived in Beijing since 2001. Over that time he has noticed the increased need of qualified educational consultant in Beijing.

With large number of agents working in Beijing and China, there is a real need for a professional consultant to help international and Chinese National students navigate their way through the maze of institutions around the world. Each institution has unique educational philosophies and education opportunities. The stated purpose of Ratna is to help universities/colleges/schools and families understand the nature of admission to different institutions and different countries.

The breadth and depth of institutional offerings requires students and their families to take time investigating the multitude of offerings. Ratna adheres to the practices and procedures of the NACAC, IECA, HECA.

The expectations are that the student and the consultant will commit to the requirements laid out in the Personal Agreement to Service Contract.

WHY Ratna?

With 19+ years of experience in the field of (Government/Private) Universities/Colleges/School education in India, UK, Australia, Canada, and Ireland and overseas, Ratna brings a vast array of knowledge. Has worked in the field of counseling/admissions/setup exam papers/screening interviews (staff/student) for building strong, trusted relationship with University/College/School in many countries.

Ratna is an independent university and school consultant working on behalf of the client to find the right school to meet the educational needs of the student.

Ratna will help families build a realistic education plan. Given competitive nature of admissions in selective schools, institutions or higher education, Ratna cannot guarantee admission to any particular school. It is expected, however, that if the student follows the Education Plan, the student will have choices that meet his/her educational needs.

OVERVIEW.

Help students and their parents find the right fit, whether University/College/School. Through a series of personal interviews, questionnaires and review of pertinent documents, Ratna will help families find schools, which are appropriate “fit” institutions.

Ratna will the provide assistance with applications preparation; document collection, interview techniques and other services to ensure the student and the family are comfortable with the process.

Given the competitive nature of admission to school and universities, Ratna cannot and will not guarantee admission to any institution. However, Ratna will offer full support to make sure students have choices before determining the right school to attend.

Depending on the timing of the contract, rates may vary. Obviously, families seeking assistance late in the process will require more detailed work in a short period of time.

Moving away from home is a big decision. Put the process into perspective. Ratna is here to help.

THE PROCESS:

Sometimes making the right choice where to study feels like carrying the load of the world on one’s shoulders. With thousands of institutions of higher education in the US alone, the prospect of finding the right school is a challenge.

Ratna will work with the family to determine their educational needs and expectations. From that point forward Ratna will work to develop a realistic plan to find the right range of schools to meet those needs. Creating a proper selection requires investigation and research. Based on the input of the family and the student, Ratna will help develop an appropriate list of institutions with good range of Reach, Mid-Range and High-Range Likely schools to which the student should apply.

Once a list of schools is developed, the next step of the process begins. The application process has many pitfalls for students. Ratna will help students put together a solid, well developed application plan with target dates and deadlines. Since applying to overseas schools is complex process, many things need to be considered: essays, SATs, TOEFL or IELTS, letters of recommendation are all a part of the application. Ratna does not “package” students; instead we help students put together a true and fair representation of them.
