WORK EXPERIENCE

April 2015 – September 2016 Hestercombe Gardens, Taunton, Somerset, UK
Hospitality Supervisor
Managed a close-knit team of front of house staff, maintaining the highest standard of customer service for customers. Responsible for selecting, training and inducting any new members of staff.
Cash handling, stock and float management for the café also came under my responsibilities. I was responsible, with the management team, for the running of front of house events. These involve catering, hosting, late night opening and sales of alcohol, amongst other things.

June 2014 – April 2015 Slee Blackwell Solicitors, Taunton, UK
Trainee Legal Executive
I was the first point of call for new clients; providing the caller with tailor-made advice or signing them up as a client of the firm. Whilst working at the firm, I helped to spearhead a litigation action for PIP (breast implant scandal) victims, which involved organising the team, in order to meet strict Court registration deadlines alongside ensuring we held appropriate evidence for each client. We also had to liaise with a French lawyer and develop knowledge of the French legal system.

October 2011 – June 2013 Premier Campus Shops, Exeter University, UK
Casual Shop Staff
The role involved moving stock around to improve sales, taking deliveries and making fast decisions, alongside delivering fantastic customer service, often to difficult customers. I mostly worked on my own in the shop, which required independence, reliability, and also initiative when problems arose.

2009-2011. J Sainsbury P.L.C. Billet Street, Taunton, UK
Customer Service Assistant
Learnt to communicate within a large team and with the customers. Dealing tactfully with customer concerns and complaints at the customer service desk was particularly difficult; this often involved negotiation and persuasion. I was three times awarded the Mystery Customer Award, which involved delivering fantastic customer service during an inspection.

2004-2008 Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, Monkton Heathfield, Taunton, UK
Front of House Volunteer
From a young age I knew practical numeracy skills, general good customer service and how to present myself. I had to be a confident communicator in order to present the centre in the best light. I learnt to work quickly and efficiently. The role taught me basic skills such as how to be responsible, reliable, honest and punctual.
