VIP can seeHello. My name is Andreas Henke. I’m originally from Germany, but have been living in Thailand for 16 years. I started my career in ESL in May 2000 and have been a teacher ever since. I have worked for a language institute and a private schools. Additionally, I have done private tutoring and conducted a couple of professional seminars. A year ago, I joined a leading Online Education platform in China and I have taught more than 1,700 online lessons. Over the last 8 years, I have mainly been working with middle school and high school students in an intensive English program as well as a bilingual program. When I conduct seminars or do private tutoring, I predominantly work with adults.
I would describe my classrooms as interactive and engaging, focusing mainly on communicative skills. I am highly organized and efficient when it comes to planning and teaching. On top of that, I’m very enthusiastic about what I do and I encourage students to try their best. I believe, I’m a great teacher because number one, I love education and love the study of it, and I have extensive experience doing so. Number two is the most important one, that is working with a variety of people from different backgrounds and support them in every possible way to reach their language proficiency goals.
Now a few words about my personal preferences. I’m really into history and geography and I love reading. This year I have taken up studying Chinese to get a feel for one of the most challenging languages in the world, but the main reason being to assist Chinese students with typical errors in sentence structure and pronunciation. Moreover, I like travelling and discover new countries and cultures along with getting to know the locals.
I have decided to apply for a position in China because I’m of the opinion that I’m ready for a new challenge in my career life and I’m sure that I will be a great addition to the educational system in China. So if you have any vacant position that suits my experience, don’t hesitate to get back to me. I obtained TESOL diploma from the London Teacher Training College in 2006 and I'm in the possession of an official teaching license from the Teacher's Council in Thailand. Thank you very much.
