Self-introduction:
I am a highly committed teacher and I would like to be contacted by equally committed individuals who take their job seriously and are not just looking to make a quick buck. I have been teaching in China for almost 4 years now and I have grown increasingly aware of the amount of BS that goes on in the local ESL industry, to the point where now I feel the need to avoid any unwanted interaction with such individuals.
Just so we're clear on this, I am originally from Italy and my first language is Italian, but part of my schooling was abroad. As a so-called 'non native' teacher I have grown to have very little tolerance for recruiters offering me a job and later on informing me that I don't meet the requirements for it. As someone who's fluent in three languages and holds an M.Ed. in applied linguistics as well as a DELTA, I would like to think I'm more than qualified for the majority of the positions being advertised on this job board. I am very aware of the fact that some countries have visa requirements in place that take into account nationality, but there's a great many that don't. If you simply find it hard to grapple with the notion that one's nationality does not necessarily bear a causal relation to their English proficiency (or lack thereof), then chances are I don't want to hear from you and much less work for your school, so please don't bother contacting me.
