Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Eyasu Tarekegn Getahun from Ethiopia. I have been living here in China since 2006.I would like to apply for General Science, Chemistry, Maths and Physics teaching positions. I have Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agro-Engineering from Alemaya University, Ethiopia.I have Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering.

Before moving to China, I was teaching Engineering courses in a government college in my country Ethiopia for three years. I was head of natural resources department in a college where i started teaching the following Engineering courses to agricultural vocational students,such as Water Harvesting Technology and Farmstead Structures.

Since 2006 after moving to China, I have been engaged in teaching spoken English and different Science subjects (Maths, General Science, Physics and Chemistry) to different grade level Chinese and international students.

As to extracurricular activities: I have great interest in being involved in activities concerning the role university students should play in order to serve the society they are in. In my undergraduate studies, my home university community reckoned me with participating in almost all extracurricular activities such as environment, sports, health and literature and community services.

I have a very good understanding of the Chinese culture and students through my over 10 years of teaching experience. I am a well-organized, diligent and passionate teacher with very good classroom management skills. This is so because of my several years of teaching experience and the training I have taken in the past.
