Work Experience:
I am currently teaching children aged between 4-5 years old at a site in Puxi. I teach small classes of between 10 and 15 children. I am responsible for creating activities that correspond with monthly themes. Examples of activities are: sports, art, music and academic studies, including science, maths and phonics.
I write daily lesson plans and daily reports for parents. I also create individual memory books for each child and I am responsible for special events, such as the Christmas performance; I choreographed dance routines for this event. In addition to my required job role I have also set up weekly after school football coaching for children to enhance their team building and coordination skills.

I taught preschool children, aged between 14 months and 4 years old at this centre in JingAn, Shanghai. I taught up to 20 children at one time. Classes consisted of: one full day program, separate morning and afternoon classes and Mummy and Me classes for mothers and toddlers aged 9 months upwards.
I was responsible for teaching the English alphabet, phonics, music and craft, with an emphasis on learning through enquiry.
I also coordinated class management, lesson planning and report writing. I was the Lead Teacher and lesson planner on site; I organised events and trips, I had regular contact with parents, I dealt with concerns and queries and I also regularly attended wider team meetings at the larger site in Pudong.
I opened the JingAn site and played a crucial role in marketing our services and securing new sign ups.

I taught English to a group of foreign nationals living in England who wanted to improve their English skills. The group was made up of ten students of various ages and English abilities. The classes ran for three months and in this time I created lesson plans to reflect the range of abilities. I taught alongside a co-worker, we worked together to structure the classes and divide the workload.

I worked alongside different teachers in classes from Nursery to Year Two, two days a week for a period of two years. My daily responsibilities included helping with

I often taught small groups of children in tasks such as painting, reading and sport, gardening activities and supporting children in daily school life. As many of the children spoke English as a Second language I offered extra tutoring to enhance their learning.
